ALNLA Awards Program

Horizon Award: Recognizes an individual for outstanding service in the field of horticulture who is either less than thirty-six years of age or has been in the green industry less than eight years.

Landscape Award Program (Monetary Award): Landscape firms can nominate their residential and commercial landscape work. There are six different categories in which to enter. This program is intended to promote professional excellence and to encourage greater public awareness of the benefits of landscaping.

Lifetime Achievement Award: Recognizes an individual who has been involved in the Green Industry for twenty five years or more. This individual has contributed to the advancement of the Green Industry in the State of Alabama.

ALNLA Academic Scholarship Awards

The goal of the ALNLA Academic Scholarship Awards program is to honor the academic achievements of students who have chosen the nursery and landscape industry as their career choice. Furthermore, the program aims to encourage students to stay in this career path and to help them make connections with nursery and landscape employers who are ALNLA members. Six scholarships are awarded every year to deserving students.

About the ALNLA Sponsored Awards

The Alabama Nursery & Landscape Association is proud to sponsor the following awards and scholarships:

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has contributed to the advancement of the horticulture industry within the state of Alabama and to the welfare of the ALNLA.

The Horizon Award recognizes a qualified individual for outstanding service in the field of nursery or greenhouse production, retail garden center, or landscape design, installation or maintenance within the state of Alabama.

Landscaping Awards are given for each of the following divisions:

  • Single Family under $10,000
  • Single Family over $10,000
  • Commercial over $25,000
  • Municipal Landscape
  • Residential Landscape Maintenance
  • Commercial Landscape Maintenance
