COVID-19 Resources

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey issued a statewide stay at home order effective at 5:00pm Saturday April 4th.

Our national partners at AmericanHort have created a very robust and extremely well organized Coronavirus Resource Center. The site covers key areas like business financial assistance, foreign labor programs, federal relief efforts, informational webinars, the benefits of plants, and much more under the tabs down the left side of the page. We are encouraging members to visit their page for a broad range of information. This space will remain reserved for state specific information.

Per Section 3 of Alabama's Stay at Home Order: "Operators of essential businesses and operations as defined in paragraph 2 may, but need not, issue credentials to their employees verifying their status as an employee of an essential business or operation. The decision to provide any such credentials is left to the discretion of the essential business or operation."

For employers desiring to provide such credentials to their employees, ALNLA has created the following letters. Please place these on your company letterhead.

Essential Grower Letter

Essential Garden Center Letter

Essential Landscape/Lawncare Letter

Essential Chemical Producer/Distributor Letter
